This is HUGE. I do NOT understand why it isn’t ALL OVER THE NEWS.

Of course, I only support stem cell research as long as the stem cells are taken without harming or killing a patient/donor…..but in this case, I’m pretty sure doctors don’t need an aborted baby to get these stem cells.

They are on the verge of finding an extremely effective way to fight HIV/AIDS.

My late uncle (who was gay and whom I never, unfortunately, had the chance to meet) DIED from HIV/AIDS. This means more to me than you realize. Please, SPREAD THE WORD and STAY INFORMED.

I knew that UCLA was researching this, and trying to find better treatment, ut I never thought that they would find a way to kill the virus.

I watch at least two hours of news daily and have literally spent half my day today on internet news sites and I find this out on Tumblr? Weird. But this news is incredible and will help not only those with HIV but maybe CFS which I suffer from, so wow. And no, babies don’t have to be aborted to get stem cells. That’s like saying kidney donors have to have been auto accident victims.

I’m all for it. I mean, I don’t necessarily agree with abortion but people are going to get them anyway, so why not make something good out of it? My grandparents both died of cancer and I’ve been told this may be a way to cure it, so its sort of a touchy subject with me too.

Why not go for it.. Everyone has their opinions or beliefs about it but why shouldnt someone get the treatment they want/need to save their lives just because of another’s opinion? I see it from both sides, but its going to happen anyway, so like I said..make something good out of it and save some other people’s lives.
